HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. — The Women’s Golf Coaches Association recently released its 2018 Division III Awards at the WGCA Division III Awards Banquet held at the National Championship site.
Washington and Lee senior, and Elkin High School alumna, Mary-Frances Hall garnered All-East Region accolades for the second time in her career. She also posted all-region honors as a first-year in 2015 when she received Second Team All-America laurels.
Hall recently completed her career at the NCAA Division III Championship, sitting in a tie for 51st overall out of 130 golfers after the third round with an 86-81-83—250 (+31). She also placed 47th at the 2015 NCAA Championship with an 84-88-80-85—337 (+49).
This season, Hall completed 19 rounds and posted a team-best 78.2 scoring average while producing five Top 5 tournament finishes. She was named All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference for the fourth time in her career, posting first team honors three times. She was also named the ODAC Rookie and Player of the Year as a first-year in 2015.
A two-time WGCA All-America Scholar, Hall won the 2016 ODAC Championship with a 77-77-71—225 (+9) and completed her career with a 78.5 career scoring average across 71 rounds played.
Washington and Lee claimed its second ODAC title in four seasons during the 2017-18 campaign and competed at the NCAA Championship for the second time in program history.
