CONCORD — The NC Punishers 12U fastpitch team continued its winning ways this past weekend by winning the Top Gun tournament in Concord. The Punishers finished the tournament 4-0 and scored 36 runs while only allowing five runs.

The Punishers began bracket play as the No. 3 seed, but successfully beat the No. 2 and No. 1 seeds in back-to-back games to win the gold bracket championship.

The 10U Punishers team was also in action over the weekend in Salisbury. The team was headed to the championship game before bad weather forced the games to be cancelled.

The 10U Punishers were awarded a second-place finish due to being the lower seed of the two remaining teams.
