The last Summer Reading Program at the Traphill Branch Library will be Zootastic with some live animals on Thursday at 11 a.m.

White Rock United Methodist Church in Thurmond will have Port-A-Pit BBQ chicken on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. Plates will be $10 and half chickens will be $6.

The annual yard sale on U.S. 21 will be on July 27, 28 and 29. You can find great bargains for miles and miles.

There will be Chicken BBQ available at the Traphill Fire Department on Saturday, beginning at 10:30 a.m. You have to get there early because it sells out quickly.

Happy anniversary wishes go to Joseph and Stephanie Knight, who celebrate their fourth anniversary on July 26; and Ruth Ann and Jonathan Mathis, who celebrate their sixth anniversary on July 27.

Traphill had a low temperature of 68.9 degrees on July 21 and a high temperature of 85.1 degrees on July 17. There was .7 inch of rain during the week of July 16-22.
