Bobby Trott will be preaching at Garden Creek Baptist Church at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Campers in the park are invited to come as they are.

New books available to check out at the Traphill Branch Library include “Educated: A Memoir” by Tara Westover, “The Electric Woman: A Memoir in Death-Defying Acts” by Tessa Fontaine, “Faith: A Journey for All” by Jimmy Carter, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership” by James Comey and “No Way Home: A Memoir of Life on the Run” by Tyler Wetherall.

Summer Reading Program is now under way at the Traphill Branch Library. This year’s theme is Libraries Rock and there are some great programs planned for the summer. On July 26, Zootastic will be there with some live animals at 11 a.m.

There will be a singing at the BROC Austin meal site on Friday, beginning with a hot-dog supper at 5 p.m. and the singing will begin at 6 p.m. The Philip Moore Family will be singing.

There will be chicken BBQ available at the Traphill Fire Department on July 28, beginning at 10:30 a.m. You have to get there early because it sells out quickly.

Happy anniversary wishes go to Britney and Joseph G. Kennedy, who celebrate their third anniversary on July 17; Darlene and Dennis Colbert, who celebrate their 38th anniversary on July 20; Kelly and Steven Stuckey, who celebrate their fifth anniversary on July 20; Jim and Paula Byrd, who celebrate their 34th anniversary on July 21; and Jody and Laura Lee Reavis, who celebrate their 23rd anniversary on July 22.

Traphill had a low temperature of 59 degrees on July 9 and a high temperature of 86.1 degrees on July 10. There was .6 inch of rain during the week of July 9-15.
