The deadline for 2019 funding request by qualifying non-profits in the Yadkin Valley area is April 16. Funding applications must be submitted online.
Scholarship applications must be received by April 16 and must be mailed or delivered to YVUF, 968 N. Bridge St., Elkin, NC 28621.
Both applications can be found on the Yadkin Valley United Fund website, Yadkinvalleyunitedfund.org.
The YVUF agency partners serve the citizens of Elkin, Jonesville, Mountain Park, Ronda, State Road, Thurmond and Traphill, and can be reviewed on the YVUF website. The YVUF also provides one scholarship each at East Wilkes, Elkin and Starmount high schools.
One-hundred percent of all funds stay in the Yadkin Valley.
The Yadkin Valley United Fund will end its 2018 funding year with a large donor and board appreciation banquet April 7 at Cedarbrook Country Club. Those attending should RSVP.
The goal for 2018 was $200,000. Pledges and donations are $194,000-plus represented by 750 individuals, 120 businesses and six foundations. Donations for 2018 campaign will be accepted until May 31.
John Furches for the 25th and final year will provide a special print for all donors who pledge or donate $200-plus to the 2018 campaign. This year’s signed print “The Reeves” will be available beginning April 7.
