Tri-County Christian Crisis Ministries has opened the doors to its new location in Elkin.
Previously in Jonesville, Tri-C, a non-profit organization known as a food pantry and contact point for other assistance, has moved to 290 N. Bridge St.
Tri-C will continue to be open during regular hours to assist with clothing, medication , power and water as well as food needs.
Hours will continue to be Monday 1 to 4 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon for those who live in 27017, 28621, 28642, 28669, 28670, 28676, 28683 and 28685, with limited service in the 27011 and 27020 zip codes.
Although some procedures might change, the service offered will not.
“It’s not as big as our old location,” said Director Heather Macy, “so it will be a little different.”
The smaller location was organized with the assistance of Food Lion through its Pantry Makeover Program that provided shelving and other materials as well as work hours.
According to Macy, the grand opening of the new location will take place in the next few weeks.
