Scouts kayak 50 miles


Seventeen Boy Scouts and eight adult leaders with the Elkin Boy Scout Troop 648 at First United Methodist Church spend four days earning their 50-mile award kayak trip on the Yadkin River from VFW Campground in Wilkesboro to the Shoals Access. The group actually paddled 56.5 miles.
