Wells siblings take top honors at state rodeo


The North Carolina High School and Junior High School rodeo award ceremony was held May 27 at Lone Hickory Arena in Yadkin County. For light rifle shooting, the state winners, children of Kenneth and Michelle Wells of Elkin are, from left, Mattie Wells, third place, Marshall Wells, second place, and Kenley Wells, state champion. They qualified for and will be attending national competitions this summer.
