NORTH WILKESBORO — The Wilkes County High School Theatre Department will be presenting “A Christmas Cinderella,” Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. The theater department is sponsored by Kiwanis Club and Terrific Kids Program.
Concessions will be available at the show, and tickets will be sold at the door and are only $5. Kids 5 years and younger get in free. Shows will be at the Stone Family Center for the Preforming Arts. The Wilkes County High Theatre Department involves students from all five high schools.
This beloved story is perfect for the Christmas season. Cinderella works for her stepmother and her two stepsisters, waiting on them hand and foot. Her only friends are a scruffy group of mice who watch over Cinderella every night. The king on the hill decides to throw a Christmas Ball and invite all the single ladies in the kingdom so his son, the prince can find a bride. Even Cinderella is invited, but her step-mother and step-sisters decide Cinderella cannot go. Her Fairy Godmother and her mousey friends step in and help Cinderella to the Ball.
Cast includes Madison Cardwell (Cinderella), Ben Adair (Prince), Olivia Palmer (Greta Bones), Destiny Smith (Bella), Amber Keller (Lulu), Alex Hernandez (King), Gracie Brook (Fuss-Pot), Mackenzie Starr (Hooty-Toot), Karstin Adair (Peeper), Jonathan Worley (Snitwick), Jaliyah McCathern (Sez-So), Nathan Shepherd (Nibbles), Hailey Hogan (Sam), Nina Hernandez (Sweetie Pie), Chloe Shew (Cheese Head), Jaclyn Kunkle (Squeaky), Ashley foster (Noel), Gabriella Lankford (Snow), Andrew Cahill (Tinsel), Cameron Ferrell (Angel), Darren Wyatt (Santa) and Rosalee Reavis (Fairy Godmother).
Director is Benjamin Foster, with stage managers being Jayme Martin and Hailey Hogan.
