The Elkin Recreation Department will be holding Tennis lessons throughout the summer for children ages 5-12. There will be four sessions consisting of every Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks. Both morning and evening sessions will be held.

Make-up day set for Starmount Middle School football sign-ups
A make-up day for Starmount Middle School football sign-ups will be Sat., Jun., 19 from 9-11 a.m. at the gym.
Anyone who has not played Sertoma football before will need to provide a copy of their birth certificate.
The cost is $75, and that fee will include the football insurance that is required to participate.

Mountain High Running Camp
The annual Mountain High Running Camp in Mars Hill will be held July 12-17.

Registration for Soccer camp
The Elkin Recreation Center will host a fundamentals soccer camp, led by Elkin High School soccer coach Joe McCulloch along with members of the Elkin High School men's and women's soccer teams.
The camp is for any kids ages 8-14 during the week of July 28. The cost of the camp is $50 and will include a t-shirt. For more information, call the Elkin Recreation Department at 835-9814.
Miles for Mikki 5k run/walk
The 5k will be held at the Elkin Recreation Park on Sat. Aug. 21 at 8 a.m. The early registration fee is $15 and continues until Aug. 14. The late registration fee is $20 after Aug. 14.
