"Do I have a motion to award this contract for the new sewage system to Advanced Development Concepts?" asked Mayor Victor Varela. The Ronda Town Council members voted unanimously to accept the bid.
After a brief presentation on what Advanced Development Concepts would bring to the table, the town council voted to award the contract to the company from Matthews. A total of 13 companies submitted bids for the job, but after roundtable discussion, the bid was accepted.
Advanced Development Concepts comes to Ronda with experience related to the proposed project . Similar work with a sewage system was completed by Advanced Devlopment Concepts in Burke County, North Carolina, in 2008. The company has been in business since September 2004, conducting business in public utilities, which include the water and sewer lines. The project in Burke County consisted of work with about 11,000 feet of sewer lines, while the project in Ronda is estimated to be 11,500 feet.
