May 3, 8:11 p.m. EPD cited Virginia Marie Billings, 26, of 261 North Bridge Street, Elkin with one count of DWI, one count of DWLR (driving while license revoked), and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. A court dat of Aug. 4 was given.
•Domestic assault
May 3, 4:30 p.m. EPD arrested Stephanie Kay Johnson, 21, of 400 Turner Court, 77B, Elkin and charged her with one count of domestic assault. A court date of June 15 was given.

May 3, 4:30 p.m. EPD arrested Jason Ray Mullis, 25, of 400 Turner Court, 77B, Elkin and charged him with one count of domestic assault. A court date of June 15 was given.
•Larceny
May 4, 3:11 a.m., EPD arrested James Dillon Payne, 24, of 258 North Oakley Avenue, Columbus, Oh, and charged him with misdemeanor larceny. Payne was given a $2,000.00 bond and a court date of May 26.
• Credit Card Fraud
EPD received a report of credit card fraud from Gerald Joyce, 43, of Elkin at 7:30 a.m. on April 27.
Joyce reported that someone had purchased in excess of $2,000 online sometime between 8 a.m. on April 26 and 7:30 a.m. on April 27 using his credit card.
The case is under investigation.
•Harrassing phone calls
EPD received a report from Neurology Associates of North Carolina, at 2:18 p.m. on April 27. The report said that a person who had been told not to call their offices continued to make calls to the business. The case is under investigation.
•Harrassing phone calls
At 2:40 p.m. on april 27, EPS received a report from Carla Barger, 23, of Elkin reporting that she was receiving hang-up calls. The case is under investigation.
•Misdemeanor Larceny
EPD responded to a call at 5:19 on April 27 from Wal-Mart about the theft of make-up valued at $140.00. John Trenton Smith, 34, of Jonesville was cited for misdemeanor larceny.
•Larceny at a residence
Anna Sue Reavis, 64, of Elkin reported to EPD at 12:40 a.m. on April 28 that a ring valued at $5,000.00 had been taken from her residence. There was no report of breaking and entering. The case is under investigation.
•Statutory Rape
At 1:57 p.m. on April 28, EPD received a report of the rape of an eleven-year old that occurred sometime between July of 2005 and present. The case is under investigation.
•Damage to property
EPD received a report of damage to a windshield from Loretta Darnell, 43, of Elkin at 7:31 on April 28. The vehicle was located on Lyles Street when the damage occurred. Estimated damage was $500.00. Darnell was referred to the magistrate.
•Larceny at residence
EPD received a report of building supplies being taken from 209 Hawthorne Road at 5:35 p.m. on April 16. Value of the building supplies was estimated to be $3,000.00. The case is under investigation.
•Assault
At 11 p.m., April 28, EPD received a report of an affray at Wal-Mart. Officers arrived on the scene and referred all parties to the magistrate.
•Assault
Janellza Louise Hunter, 50, of Elkin was charged with simple assault at 9:39 on May 2 after EPD was called out. Medical attention was not needed.
•Assault on a female
At 9:39 p.m. on May 2, EPD charged Jemmy Lewis Hunter, 50, of Elkin with assault on a female.
•Accident
EPD responded to a call of an accident at 11:30 p.m on May 2 on Claremont Road at the corner of Eden Park Drive. Officers charged Sarah Nevada Foster, 22, of Elkin, who was driving a ‘9 Toyota east on Claremont, with misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and driving while license revoked.
