We’re just one day away from the start of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
It’s still not too late to fill out your brackets and enter them into The Tribune’s Madness 2010 pick ‘em contest.
The winner of our yearly contest will earn a slam-dunk $500 cash prize. Second place earns $250, while third place nets $100.
Here is how to enter online:
• Visit www.elkintribune.com and click on the Madness ‘10 icon at the top of the page. This will take you to a Web site called www.hoopness.com.
• Click on “log-in” and then “pool players.” When prompted, enter elkintribune for the Pool ID and then elkintribune for the Pool Password.
• Follow the on-screen directions to create your entry and review your entry.
The deadline to enter online is Thursday at noon (right before the first games tip).
Pickers also can enter using the paper brackets found on pages 6-7 in Monday’s edition of The Tribune. Those must be returned to The Tribune office by Thursday at noon. Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than today (Wednesday, March 17).
No exceptions will be made for late entries. Paper entries not using the brackets printed in Monday’s Tribune will not be accepted. We recommend on-line entries, as the process is quick and simple.
