On May 8, 1946, she married James Arlie Pardue, who preceded her in death on January 25, 1995.
“Granny Flora” as she was affectionately called by all, loved her church and her family.
She was especially proud of her four great-grandchildren and always had time to play.
She spent her working career in textiles and retired from Lucia, Inc.
She was a life-long caregiver and spent her retirement years taking care of other family members.
Flora was an awesome cook and delighted in preparing delicious, nutritious meals for her family.
Her country style steak, macaroni and cheese, and cakes will be missed by all at church and family events.
Her family will miss the birthday cakes baked and decorated especially for them for each birthday.
Those who attended the weddings of her granddaughters remember the delicious variety of cakes she baked and decorated for both of their weddings.
She was happiest working outside in her flower and vegetable gardens.
For more than 40 years, she grew and arranged the altar flowers for her church. Her deep faith, strong will and healthy lifestyle contributed to her longevity and 33- year survival of ovarian cancer.
