According to a press release issued by the Yadkin County Sheriffs Office Monday, Detectives with the Yadkin and Davie County Sheriffs Office worked together after receiving a tip regarding persons in the Jonesville area who were selling illegal narcotics. An investigation led to the undercover purchase of illegal narcotics, and the subsequent arrest of two persons and the seizure of powder Cocaine on New Years Eve.
Willie Lee Johnson, 23 and Susan Annette Hutchins, 38 were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.
Johnson was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, an additional count of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver counterfeit controlled substance, and felony sell and deliver of counterfeit controlled substance.
He has a long history with the North Carolina Department of Corrections listing charges including larceny of a motor vehicle, multiple convictions for illegal drugs and various other convictions in three counties. Records there provide he was released from his last sentence in June 2009.
Hutchins was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, driving while impaired, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
She has prior convictions for various misdemeanors and felonies including multiple convictions for larceny in at least two counties and a prior criminal record from South Carolina.
Both Johnson and Hutchins were processed and held on secured bonds.
Johnson was scheduled to appear in Yadkin County District Court on Jan. 6. Hutchins is scheduled to appear on Feb. 16.
