A graveside service will be held today, May 13, at 2 p.m. at the Open Door Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Elkin.
Carolyn was born in Guilford County, the daughter of Jake and Mildred Russell Tilley.
She was employed until her retirement with the Back to Basic Company in Elkin.
She is survived by five children; one brother; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Open Door Missionary Baptist Church, 8230 N.C. 268, Dobson, NC 27017.
