Mr. Jones was born in Iredell County to John B. and Eula King Jones.
He was retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elkin.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 in Hollywood Cemetery, conducted by Dr. Charles Baker.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Opal Jones of the home.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Barium Springs Home for Children, 156 Frazier Loop, Barium Springs, NC 28010.
John Kennedy, funeral director is serving the Jones family.
