Three Lady Elks were named to the all-conference teams: Makayla Dimmette, Courtney Beals and Carrie Brown.

ELKIN - Four local hoop stars repeated as Mountain Valley Conference honorees, the conference announced last month when they released the annual awards.

Starmount’s Heaven Walters, Elkin’s Courtney Beals, East Wilkes’ Erin Royal and Forbush’s Savannah Hill garnered honors for the second-straight year to headline area teams on the end-of-the-year lists.

Walters, a 1,000-point scorer headed to Guilford College in the fall, was the only all-conference performer on a Lady Rams’ squad chock full of freshmen. Younger sister Miracle Walters and senior Whitney Pardue were named honorable mentions.

Beals, an honorable mention a year ago, was named on the All-MVAC list as a junior. Makayla Dimmette and Carrie Brown earned an honorable mention for the Lady Elks.

Royal earned her second-straight all-conference nod as the Lady Cardinal’s leading scorer, while ShaNisha White and Adrian Pardue were named honorable mentions.

Hill, an honorable mention last season, captured All-MVAC honors in her final season at Forbush. Hill was joined by sophomore point guard Brittany Moose on the all conference list, while Maddi Morsch and Paris Trivette earned honorable mentions.
