George and Shirley McCoin of Elkin celebrated 60 years of marriage with family and friends on February 23 with a reception at the Friendship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
The McCoin’s children are Brenda Combs of Cana, VA and Tim McCoin of Elkin.
The happy couple have 4 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. They also have 4 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
George and Shirley McCoin retired from Hugh Chatham Hospital.
The McCoin’s were married on February 27, 1953.
