The family of Jimmie Green Haynes announce his passing on January 4, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Haynes was born February 25, 1934 to Charlie Worth and Victoria Green Haynes of Wilkes County. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Charlotte Haynes, Irene Goodnight, Barbara Swaim; and brother, C.W. Haynes. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patsy Roberson Haynes; daughters, Renee Goodnight (husband Mark), Lisa Yarborough (husband Steve); and son, Jim Haynes Jr. (wife Nancy); grandchildren, Caleb and Chelsea Goodnight, Lindsey and Austin Yarborough; sister, Gaynell Johnson and brother Jack Haynes.

Mr. Haynes was a U.S. Army veteran and successful businessman. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his generous spirit, love of people, quick wit and sense of humor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8th at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 3982 Clingman Road, Ronda, NC, from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Murphy and Rev. Darold Adams officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care( 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030) for their compassionate care and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to them in his honor. He will be greatly missed.
