Elkin Recreation and Parks Department is hosting the first Public Input Workshop, pertaining to potential future development, on Nov. 15 from 4:30 p.m. until 6: 30 p.m. at Elkin Recreation Center, 399 Highway 268 West Elkin.
Members of the Recreation and Parks staff have published a survey to find out how the public feels about the Town parks and trail system, and what ideas they may have for enhancing the recreational opportunities available in Elkin. This survey will be available for citizens to fill out at Thursday night’s Public Input Workshop.
“This is an opportunity for the citizens to provide input and ideas as it relates to recreation and parks from program ideas to facility ideas,” McComb said. “We will also have a raffle during this meeting for a monthly pass, shelter rental and daily pool passes.”
For those who are unable to attend, the survey is also available online. It can be accessed through the Town of Elkin’s website, or at, http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/elkinrecreationsurvey.
