The Town of Elkin held a grand opening celebration of the TRACK trail, which will be located on the section of the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail that passes through Elkin.
The grand opening was held Oct. 27 at the trail head located by the tennis courts.
The TRACK Trail follows Elkin Creek from the Elkin’s municipal park and will end at the Yadkin River. The trail will be 0.7 miles one-way from the trail head and will continue along The Over Mountain Victory Trail along the Yadkin River.
