DOBSON - The Surry Community College Alpha Xi Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will sponsor a public forum entitled: “Election Season: Leadership and Awareness” on Monday, October 29 at 11 a.m. at the Shelton-Badgett NC Center for Viticulture and Enology on the main campus.
This event is part of the Honors in Action Project sponsored by the SCC chapter. Sheriff Graham Atkinson; County Commissioner, R.F. “Buck” Golding and Mayor of Pilot Mountain, Earl Sheppard, will speak on leadership qualities, good citizenship and the crucial importance of voting at the local level. The officials will take questions from the audience on these timely topics.
