Lucy Boyd Clore, age 82 of Elkin passed away on October 12, 2012 at Elkin Healthcare. Mrs. Clore was born in Wilkes County on December 17, 1929 to the late Beamer and Rosa Pinnix Boyd.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Clore; son, Larry Clore; brothers, Joe Boyd, Thomas Boyd, Jay Boyd; sister, Helen Lassiter.

Mrs. Clore is survived by her daughter, Shirley Clore McIntyre & husband Kevin of Ronda; sisters, Frankie Roberts & husband Arthur of Elkin, Mary Benge & husband Kenneth of Elkin; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ivan Dameron and Rev. Matthew Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Mrs. Clore will lie in state from 2:30 – 3:00p.m. prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
