The man accused of killing a Jonesville police sergeant 16 years ago may be on his way to North Carolina.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida no longer has Scott Sica listed as an inmate. He was reportedly released from their custody about 2 a.m. Friday.
Sica was arrested last week in Cape Coral, Fla.
He faces charges in the October 1996 slaying of Jonesville Sgt. Gregory Martin.
