The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Boonville Police Department arrested Russell Grey Wright, 39, of Rocket Road in East Bend.
Wright was arrested after law enforcement officers conducted an investigation into a prescription fraud case. According to arrest reports, Wright attempted to obtain prescription narcotics by presenting a fraudulent prescription at Super-Rex Drugs located on East Main Street in Boonville.
Wright was charged with two counts of attempted trafficking of Opium/Heroin and two counts of Obtaining a Prescription Drug by Fraud/Forgery, Driving While License Revoked and Fictitious Tag. According investigators more charges are pending in the investigation. Wright was released on a $10,000 bond and is due to appear in Yadkin County District Court today.
