Ronald and Shirlene Dillard of Hays, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Brittany Dillard, to Christopher Carter Grant, son of Terry Carter of Ronda, N.C. and Elizabeth Colbert of Elkin, N.C.
Laura is also the granddaughter of Velna Tilley and the late Winfield Tilley of Elkin as well as the granddaughter of Nannie Dillard and the late Grant Dillard.
Laura is a 2008 honors graduate of North Wilkes High School, 2010 Dental Assisting graduate of Wilkes Community College and 2010 Medical Coding graduate of the United States Career Institute. Laura is currently a stay-at-home mother to the couple’s infant son, Jameson Grant Carter.
Christopher attended East Wilkes High School and Wilkes Community College. He is employed by Volvo of the Triad as finance manager in Winston-Salem.
The wedding is to be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Bermuda Run Country Club in Bermuda Run, N.C.
