She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James J. Drum; her parents; and brother, Alfred Drum.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lisa Drum; grandson, Jeff Drum; great-grandson, Jake Drum; sister, Thelma Conant; niece, Bonnie Thierry; and great-nephew, Michael Thierry.
A memorial service was held at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville on Wednesday Dec. 17.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lula Conrad Hoots Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Mr. Woodie "L.G." Gregory, 75, of Yadkinville died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at his home.
He was born April 25, 1933 to the late Lee Gwyn and Vella Mae Sparks Gregory in Wilkes County in the home of his Gregory grandparents.
He served in the United States Air Force with a tour of duty in Korea, and retired from R.J.R. Archer with 32 years of employment.
He was a member of Branon Friends Meeting, American Legion Post 505, and VFW Post No. 8467.
Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Vella Sparks Gregory Hutchens and his fathers, Lee Gwyn Gregory and Clarence D. Hutchens; two sisters, Margie M. Gregory and Jane H. Bradshaw; one nephew, Binky Lee Gregory; his father-in-law, Pride H. Hoots; and his brother-in-law, Allen R. Hoots.
He is survived by his wife, Carol H. Gregory; his children, Brenda K. Gregory, W. Scott and Robin T. Gregory, L. Gwynn and Renee' M. Gregory; his grandchildren, Julie T. and Will Adams, Ashton B. Gregory, Kyler G. Gregory, and Zoie A. Gregory; his great-grandchildren, Ava J. Adams and W. Mason Adams.
His survivors also include three brothers, Hubert L. Gregory, James G. and Verna Gregory, and Locksley D. and Vickie Hutchens; a sister, Homer and Shelvie G. Creed; his mother-in-law, Estelle Smitherman Hoots Garrison; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie B. Hoots, Thomas H. and Judy S. Hoots, and Lawrence G. and Elizabeth H. Grubbs; nine nephews; 12 nieces; and their children.
The family received friends on Friday, Dec. 12 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Dec. 13 in the Branon Friends Meeting Cemetery by Pastor Joe Reece with full military honors by Yadkin VFW Post No. 10346.
