Snow plays with schedules

RAMS-EAGLESHOOPS, WRESTLINGMOVED

Last week's winter weather forced the postponement of Tuesday's Starmount-Surry Central basketball games and wrestling match.

The hoops games will be made up on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Surry Central. The wrestling match will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at Starmount.

Because last Thursday's snow day came during end-of-semester exams, the missed exams were moved to this week. That forced Starmount to juggle its athletic schedules to accomodate testing.

What's On Tap

BASKETBALL

FRIDAY: It's rivalry time in Yadkin County. Starmount travels to Forbush for the second regular season meeting between the schools. Starmount's varsity boys and girls swept the first meeting back in December.

TUESDAY: If Starmount's boys can get past Forbush, it will be playing for at least a share of the conference lead when Ashe County visits. Forbush teams have the night off.

WRESTLING

FRIDAY: Last year's Starmount-Forbush match came down to the last second, literally. The Falcons won by a nose. This year, the Rams and Falcons tangle in Boonville, beginning at 7 p.m.

TUESDAY: Starmount visits Ashe County in its regular season MVACfinale, with a conference title possibly up for grabs.
