Officials of Goody's released the store closing list Tuesday. The company says it will close a total of 103 stores in 2008.
North Carolina stores closing are Henderson, Gastonia, Concord, Asheville, Wilkesboro and Salisbury.
The manager of the Elkin store received minor injuries in a car accident Tuesday morning and was not at work Tuesday, according to a store employee.
Someone identified as being in charge of the night shift had no comment on the bankruptcy.
