The new Fourth Friday tradition brought music and pony rides to the streets of Elkin last week. For the second month now businesses stayed open late to encourage people to enjoy the historic downtown setting.

Rock band 'Formerly Known' played beneath the awning of the Reeves Theater. EllieMae and Friends brought ponies Zach and Rosy along with a basketful of bunnies from their farm. And the Yadkin Valley Craft Guild opened their Shades of Blue display welcoming people in for refreshments and wine.

People sat in front of Brushy Mountain Winery enjoying the nearby music, while kids ran in and out of Royals which posted a sign for Fourth Friday, that read "OPEN 9 a.m. until ?".
