Mr. Michael Douglas Simpson, 58, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at his home. He was born October 15, 1949 in Whitside County, Ill to Willis Simpson and the late Audrey Wescott Simpson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Simpson; granddaughter, Norma Leigha Smoker. Surviving are his children, Susan Elizabeth Call, Michael Allen (Karen) Simpson, Ronald Douglas (Patty) Simpson; father, Willis (Phyllis) Simpson; grandchildren, Dwayne Burchette, Kayla Burchette, Seth Simpson, Lindsey Simpson, Austin Simpson; brother, Robert Clair (Song) Simpson, Richard Lee (Patti) Simpson, Terry Wayne (Janice) Simpson; step-brothers, Larry Johnson, Douglas (Julie) Johnson; step-daughter, Sheri Johnson; several nieces and nephews. His graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Shoaly Branch Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Tim Tucker. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 7 to 9 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville, which is serving the Simpson family.
