DOBSON -- Surry Central High School will be buzzing Monday night when the ACC All-Stars take on the Surry County All-Stars in the 30th annual ACC All-Star Barnstorming Tour.

The ACC All-Star team features North Carolina's Quentin Thomas, Duke's DeMarcus Nelson, and NC State's Gavin Grant while the Surry County team is composed of former players from Surry Central, North Surry, East Surry, Mount Airy and Elkin High Schools.

Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Former North Surry basketball coach Ron King will coach the ACC team and Surry Community College coach Tony Searcy will coach the Surry team.

"We are hoping the gym is full, the floor is full and that there are people in the lobby," said Surry Central athletic director Mark Snow. "We have plenty of tickets available.

"We are excited about it. We think it's going to be a good time."

Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Surry Central High School or at the Neighbors Store in Dobson. Tickets at the door are $15. VIP tickets are also available.

A slam-dunk competition will be held at halftime of the game, which benefits USSSA/AAU youth basketball and the Surry Central High School booster club, along with a three-point contest that will be open for anyone to enter.

Other graduating seniors on the ACC team are Kyle Hines (UNC Greensboro), Sean Barnette (Wingate), Cliff Hammonds (Clemson), James Mays (Clemson), Sam Perry (Clemson), Matt Morris (Clemson), Surry Wood (North Carolina) and Chad Williams (NC State).

Surry Central's all-time leading scorer Chad Casstevens (1,258 career points) will play on the Surry team, along with 1,000-point scorer Matt Richardson, Josh Money and Kenley Mitchell.

Also on the roster are Kent Brown (North Surry), Tony Smith (North Surry), Garrett Howlett (North Surry), Devin Holt (East Surry), Caleb Gilley (East Surry), Payton Searcy (East Surry), Errette Bobbitt (Mount Airy), Andrew Webb (Mount Airy), Clarence Edwards (Elkin), Joe Edwards (Elkin), Travis Stillman (Elkin) and Randy Wilson (Elkin).

Brown, Howlett and Moore were key members of North's 25-5 team that reached the Western Regional semifinals against Shelby in 2007.

An autograph session will be held after the game and the school plans to raffle off a couple of autographed basketballs. A dinner and reception with the ACC team will take place for VIP ticketholders.

Surry Central last hosted the ACC Barnstorming Tour in 1983.

Searcy has played an All-Star game that featured Duke's Christian Laettner and Bobby Hurley.

"I talked with Tony quite a bit. He's the perfect guy to do this. He has played against these all-stars at least three times," Snow said. "Ron King has been involved in these several times as well. I think it's two legendary names in basketball in Surry County involved.

"It's something that people will never forget."

The tour continues in Cary (April 15), Monroe (April 16), Smithfield (Feb. 19), Fayetteville (April 21), Wilmington (April 23), Fort Mill, S.C. (April 24) and Anderson, S.C. (April 25).
