He is survived by his wife: Shirley Brown Cothren of the home, a daughter; Lisa (David) Royal of State Road. A son; Calvin (Dania) Cothren of Mt. Park, three grandchildren; Lakota, Grant and Kenzie.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, at 3 p.m., April 12, 2008 at Gid Branch Baptist Church. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery. The Cothren Family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 at Johnson Funeral Home Elkin.
