Senior Victor Davila, who earned 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field, joined Pisgah's Austin Moore, R.J. McClure and Jarrod Conard and Shelby's Eric Mayo on the region tourney's honors list.
Starmount lost to the Black Bears 69-60 at North Forsyth High School. Pisgah went on to beat Shelby in the 2A West final on Saturday at Joel Coliseum 84-73.
Moore was named tournament MVP after notching 24 points in Saturday's victory and 15 against the Rams on Thursday. Pisgah (25-4) will take on West Bladen for the state championship this Saturday at NC State's Reynolds Coliseum.
Starmount concluded its season at 20-8, making a third trip to the West Regionals in four seasons.
Davila ends his Rams career as the school's leading scorer and rebounder. He was named the Mountain Valley 2A Player of the Year for 2007-08 and will surely be among those getting all-state votes again once the prep season is completed.
In other area basketball playoff action, Bishop McGuinness advanced to the 1A girls state championship game, beating Chatham Central 52-36 on Saturday. Bishop plays in the same conference with Elkin and East Wilkes.
Winston-Salem Prep, which could soon be a conference partner with schools like Surry Central, North Surry, Mount Airy and East Surry, beat Thomasville 79-58 to advance to the 1A boys state title game.
East Davidson topped Salisbury 51-37 in the 2A West girls final. Salisbury ousted the Starmount girls in round one.
