David Lee Felts, age 70, of 153 Creekwater Farm Road, State Road, passed away Feb. 12, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Felts was born in Yadkin County on May 25, 1937 to the late Harrison Felts and De Ette Pruitt Felts. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife: Nellie Ruth Walters Felts whom passed April 15, 2005, a son: David Allan Felts, whom passed July 6, 1975, four sisters, and three brothers.

He is survived by two children: Teresa Jones and husband Denver of West Jefferson, Joe Felts and wife Vicki of Dobson, five grandchildren; Shanna (Jason) Steelman, Danielle Blevins, Cody Felts, Casey Felts and Zach Jones, three great-grandchildren; Chelsea Blevins, Caelen Mahan, and Hailey Willard. A sister; Estelle "Jimmie" Seagraves of Thomasville, a brother; Bill (Margaret) Felts of High Point, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. John Attaway. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Felts Family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
