The owner of the building leased by the owner of the business, Ethel Beamer, said he plans to seek a new tennant.
A sign on the door of Mom's Tuesday read "Lock has been changed. Do not enter without Phil Vestal here." Evan Vestal, Phil Vestal's father, owns the building and the family began moving furniture out of Mom's on Tuesday afternoon, packing up belongings and cleaning the restaurant. Vestal said he hopes to find new tenants for the building, saying "We are starting renovations today."
Ethel Beamer of Mom's was unavailable for comment. Her daughter said that she was upset about the closing and needed time to respond.
