Mr. Thomas Gray Settle, age 46, of Lyles St. Elkin, NC,passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Settle was born in Surry County on April 8, 1961 to Tony and Alverta Luffman Settle.
Mr. Settle was a pet groomer and a member of Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. Mr. Settle was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father and step mother: Tony and Patricia Burner Settle of Elkin, a step grandmother: Ruby M. Settle of the home, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Settle will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at Grassy Creek United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jim Prichard. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Flowers will be accepted of memorials may be made to Grassy Creek United Methodist Church.
