He and his 5-year-old daughter are still hospitalized.The first dinner on Jan. 26, is being held by the family at the Elkin Rescue Squad building located on North Bridge Street from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 per plate and are available at the door. Raffle tickets will be sold for local merchandise and services at the dinner.
The second spaghetti supper is Feb. 23 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Elkin Elementary School. Tickets are $5 a plate and available at the Elkin Police Department, Town Hall and from any Elkin police officer. The Elkin police department is also having a raffle.
All proceeds from both events will go to the Shores family.
When Mamma calls...
Terry Hall, of North Wilkesboro, while driving south on RP1351 in Jonesville on Monday, ran off the road and struck a mailbox, according to a Highway Patrol report. Hall stated that he was on his cell phone with his mother, drifted past the center line, and in overcorrecting, overturned and hit a mailbox on Fox Knob Road. The Highway patrol charged him with exceeding the posted speed and failing to maintain lane of travel.
