KERNERSVILLE -- Lakenn Reynolds, Sarah Neaves and Lauren Singleton each won events for Elkin in a tri-meet at the Kernersville YMCA on Monday.

Reynolds touched first in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. Neaves captured the 50 free and 100 free. Singleton aced the 100 backstroke.

The Buckin' Elks as a team finished third. Bishop won the meet with 108 points, followed by East Surry 96 and Elkin 95. The Elks won to relays, the 200 medley and 400 free.

Elkin's boys also placed third in the meet with 26 points, trailing Bishop (129) and East Surry (73).

Surry Central had a solid showing in a swim meet last week against Starmount at Armfield Civic & Recreation Center.

The Eagles finished with a combined team score of 160, while the Rams finished with 54 points.
