Starmount falls to South Stokes

By Kristian Russell -

Coming off last Friday’s conference loss to Elkin, Starmount was looking to add a much-needed win to its record. Unfortunately it was another rough night for the Rams, as they couldn’t find the win they were looking for.

Starmount conceded two runs in the top of the second, and never found their way back. They tried to fight back in the bottom of the second inning as Brock Mullins came up with a double, but the Rams came up short. In the top of the third, the Rams surrendered another run to give South Stokes a 3-0 lead.

The rest of the night was much of the same for the Rams as they went three-up, three-down for several innings. At the end of the seventh inning, the Rams fell to South Stokes 3-0.

Starmount moves to an overall record of 2-6 and a conference record of 1-1.
