Swim Lessons in Elkin

ELKIN — Summer swim lessons will be held at Elkin Municipal Pool starting May 29. Elkin residents rate is $25, while the non-resident rate is $50. Swim lessons are for children ages 3 to 12. Lessons are scheduled in 30 minute segments for two-week sessions. Session 2 is June 19-30, and Session 3 is July 10-21. To register, go to elkin.recdesk.com and click the Municipal Pool link. East Wilkes to host football camp

RONDA — The annual East Wilkes Youth Football Camp will be held on the campus of East Wilkes High School June 15-17 from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is designed to teach the fundamentals, basics, and safety of football to young men ages kindergarten through ninth grade. Advanced registration is now open and can be competed by visiting the East Wilkes High School website and downloading a registration form to mail-in. The camp also will register participants on June 15, beginning at 8 a.m.

Elkin youth soccer camp

ELKIN — Elkin will host a youth soccer camp lead by Elkin High School head soccer coach, Heath Foster, as well as other Elkin coaches and players. The cost of the camp is $50. Ages 5 to 12 are welcome to attend. The camp will run June 19-22 from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp will be held at Chatham Park, 600 E. Main St., Elkin. Players should bring cleats, shin guards, and water bottle every day.

East Wilkes girls basketball camp

RONDA — East Wilkes Girls Basketball Camp will run from June 19-21. The camp will run from 9 a.m. till noon each day. The cost of the camp is $40. The camp is for any girl entering third through ninth grade. The purpose of this camp is to improve skills in a fun environment, with prizes given out daily. Each camper will receive a camp shirt.

East Wilkes tennis camp

RONDA — Coach Aaron Simmons, along with current and former East Wilkes tennis players, will be holding tennis clinics for rising Kindergarten through 9th grade students beginning June 20th and continuing through July 27th. Clinics for rising Kindergarten students through rising 3rd graders will be from 9 a.m. till 9:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Clinics for rising 4th graders through rising 9th graders will be from 10 a.m till 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be no clinic on July 4th. The cost of each clinic is $5 and no pre-registration is needed. Contact Aaron Simmons at (336) 927-7391 for any questions.

Camps for Christ basketball camp

ELKIN — Camps for Christ will be holding a basketball camp at Elkin Baptist Church from June 26-29. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day. Cost of the camp is $120 for four days. Boys and girls ages 7 through 17 are invited to attend. Campers must bring their own lunch. To register, visit campsforchrist.net.

East Wilkes boys basketball camp

RONDA — East Wilkes will be conducting its annual boy’s basketball camp for rising third through eighth graders on July 10-12 from 9 a.m. till noon at East Wilkes High School. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. each morning and the cost of the camp is $50. Flyers and sign-up forms can be found at all of East Wilkes High School’s feeder schools. Campers will participate in skill development, individual competitions, and team scrimmages. The camp will also feature guest speakers with college or professional basketball experience and prizes for competition winners. Summer Skills soccer camp scheduled

EAST BEND — The Summer Skills soccer camp is scheduled for Aug. 7-10 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Forbush High School soccer field. The cost of the camp is $50. The camp is available for youth soccer players ranging in ages 7 to 13 years old. Forbush men’s soccer coach, Seth Davis, is the lead instructor for the camp along with other Forbush High School staff and players. Each camper will receive a soccer ball and T-shirt.
