Mrs. Billings was born in Wilkes County on December 8, 1931 to the late Ovid and Ella Spicer Johnson. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mrs. Billings was also a member of Center Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Windell Billings; and a sister, Marie Johnson.
Mrs. Billings is survived by her children, Betty Sue Carter & husband Barry of Roaring River, Ray Hawkins & wife Lydia of Elkin, Lesia Fessenden & husband Dave of Jonesville, Annette Prevette & husband Barry of Roaring River, Tammy Deal & husband Ken of Kernersville; brothers, Dan Johnson & wife Betty of Elkin, Bill Johnson & wife Jean of Thurmond, Leonard Johnson of Thurmond, Kenneth Johnson & wife Phyllis of Thurmond, Archie Johnson of Ronda; sister, Kathleen Adams & husband Jerry of State Road; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
