Goody’s is celebrating its grand opening this Thursday.
After closing three years ago when the company went bankrupt, the clothing store will be reopening in its old location on North Bridge Street.
After filing for bankruptcy in 2008, Stage Stores, Inc. bought the Goody’s name and is reopening, said Goody’s district manager Don Stanley.
“We will have everything the old Goody’s had and more, including a lot new brands and fragrances,” said manager Carolyn Martin. “We will be carrying fragrance brands such as Lady Gaga, Rhianna and Polo.”
Goody’s is celebrating their grand opening by giving the first 100 customers Goody’s tote bags, two $250 shopping spree prizes along with a 20 percent off five day savings pass for Aug. 23 to 27.
“We are looking forward to opening in Elkin,” Stanley said.
The Yadkin Valley Chamber of Commerce will be cutting the ribbon for the grand opening at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23. The store will be open for shopping at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
