The Jonesville Business Association has some new leaders.
Dave Henderson of Davhenco was elected to coordinate communications with the Town of Jonesville. The Hampton Inn staff was asked to coordinate membership drives in an area designated as “greater” Jonesville.
The area includes the 28642 postal zone, highways 21 and 67 and byway links from Swan Creek, Bethel and Center Roads.
“Our purpose is to promote the community and Jonesville businesses while taking advantage of the benefits of larger associations such as the Yadkin County and Yadkin Valley Chambers of Commerce,” explained membership Chair Debra Clark.
“As we grow, we look forward to working with Boonville businesses and Elkin’s Downtown Association to promote common goals for our respective towns and the region.”
The Association endorsed Soyworx’s John Thompson’s suggestion that the Association develop welcome kits for new and prospective businesses, to include information about area business-support groups and local attractions.
Setting the regular meeting as the second Tuesday each month, members will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. to complete a growing agenda which includes asking the Town of Jonesville to select an honorary name for the Highway 67 corridor, to asking businesses to support activities for our youth and to complete a logo design.
