Ivy Ridge Traditions has closed at its 119 Main St. location, but its owner plans to re-open just down the street in the Liberty Building on East Main Street.
Cicely McCulloch, owner of the Liberty Building, said she hopes the building will be ready to open by Thanksgiving. The property is currently being redesigned for a microbrewery, banquet hall, restaurant, tenant space, and gift and wine shop.
After four years at 119 Main St., the store’s owner announced it was going out of business. Now, Ivy Ridge owner Angela Day is looking forward to moving to the Liberty location and revamping the store’s image.
“It will be a smaller location, and we will be partnering with Robin Turner and sharing the space with her. She will have local wines and some gourmet items,” Day said. “It’s going to be a really good partnership. You won’t even be able to tell we’re two entities; we’ll blend.”
Day said Ivy Ridge plans to be open for business seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
“It seems to be an ideal spot, Day said. “It’s just a neat and interesting place, and I think it will be a huge attraction.”
