A stabbing incident Monday morning left one person injured, according to Surry County Sheriff Graham Atkinson.
Surry County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance Monday at 8:30 a.m. at 7444 U.S. 601 between Dobson and Fairview.
When officers arrived, all the parties involved in the disturbance were gone.
Surry County Sheriff Graham Atkinson said officers have interviewed two of the people who were involved in the incident.
“One of them has been injured and is in (Wake Forest) Baptist (Medical Center). The other one was interviewed and was not charged at the time, because it’s not really clear right now who the aggressor was,” Atkinson said. “We’ll have to get some more information from the person in the hospital once they’re in better condition to talk to us, and we’ll have to talk to other witnesses and see how their stories match up. Right now that’s really about all we’ve got.”
No charges have been issued, and the case is still under investigation.
Atkinson said he could not release any more information at this time.
