WorkForce Carolina, a local staffing company, was recognized September 27 as one of the 50 Fastest privately held businesses in the Triad.
The event was held at the Embassy Suites in Winston-Salem and Teresa Lewis, CEO of WorkForce Carolina, accepted the award on behalf of the firm. The Business Journal has sponsored the Fast 50 event for 14 years and this is the fifth time WorkForce Carolina has ranked in the Fast 50.
A business must be a private, for profit, venture, be headquartered in the Triad and have completed 3 full years in business with annual revenue over $2 million. The CPA firm, Smith Leonard, confidentially reviews the financial statements of participating companies in order to determine the fastest growing businesses.
Headquartered in Mount Airy, WorkForce Carolina was founded by Teresa Lewis in 1987 and has offices in Yadkinville and High Point. WorkForce Carolina expanded its corporate office in February and opened a third branch in High Point in May. WorkForce Carolina provides employees to businesses in Surry, Yadkin, Stokes, Forsyth, Guilford and surrounding counties. The company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
