BOONVILLE - Starmount head wrestling coach David Oliver and the Rams hosted a summer camp last week in Boonville.
Featuring six collegiate All-American and Olympic qualifying wrestlers as counselors, roughly 20 campers participated in the four-day clinic at Starmount High School.
Oliver said the turnout was “better than expected” given the shorter summer vacations for the students.
Included in the 20 wrestlers at camp were current Rams wrestlers preparing for next season and reigning 138-pound state champion Nick Kiter from Forbush. Kiter, who graduated earlier this month, is gearing up for wrestling at the next level when he signed an official letter of intent to The Citadel.
