•12:00 p.m. Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church will have their 12th annual Bar-B-Que Chicken and Singing. 1266 Union Hill Rd., Thurmond. Singing starts at 6:00 p.m. With Noah’s Faith & Parables of Christ. Plates are $8.00 and consist of Bar-B-Que Chicken, baked beans, slaw, rolls, drink and dessert. •7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Refuge community Church will honor the sacrificial service of our military. Veterans and active military service are invited to a Free Pancake and Sausage breakfast. Event will be held at the Elkin Rescue Squad.
